Starlight Starbright is a song written by American songwriter John Marascalco. John also wrote Ready Teddy, Rip it up and Good Golly Miss Molly for Little Richard and Elvis Presley.

Lonnie recorded the song in late 1959 and immediately on release it entered the Top 40 and other Hit Parades around Australia. In January 1960 it reached the top or near the top on every parade and stayed there for most of the year. It was so successful it has become synonymous with Lonnie and mention one name and the other comes into play.
